Ceresian Imperial Republic

The Ceresian Imperial Republic is the post-liberation state that succeeded colonial rule and preserved imperial continuity under republican, technocratic institutions. It drew legitimacy from the Ceresian monarchy, the Papersmith victory, and Hanzo Gische's constitutional theory of technology-driven state power.

Postwar Formation

After the Treaty of Astaran, the restored Ceresian order reorganized as an imperial republic rather than a simple revival of the old Tesamaic. The monarchy remained a symbol of national cohesion, while the government developed directorial, parliamentary, and technocratic bodies designed to prevent the technological complacency that had enabled Rietan conquest.

Technocratic Hegemony

Institutions such as the National Technocratic Front, Imperial Fund, Kohlian Industries Consolidated, and Ceresian Labor Authority transformed Ceresia into a state whose economic and military power rested on organized innovation, resource extraction, and eventually interstellar colonization.
