The Proto-Ceresian Civilization was an ancient city-state centered at Ceres, where multiple rivers of the Central Perlian system converged. Its archaeological record includes bronze artifacts, engraved administrative leaves, temple inscriptions, and later iron caches associated with collapse.
Language and Religion
Proto-Ceresian developed from the Central Proto-Perlian language and became influential among neighboring nomadic groups. Its religion synthesized naturalist, apocalyptic, human-harmony, and local shamanic concepts while rejecting the extreme apocalypticism later associated with the Ran.
Political Legacy
King Cereso the Great founded the named city and adopted the title Teyasamaya, later Tesamne. Later rulers imitated and exaggerated his legacy until administrative overextension and collapse returned the region to tribal successor traditions that eventually produced the Kerezians and Junic Ceresia.
