Ceresian Labor Authority

The Ceresian Labor Authority (CLA) administers the labor draft, the Ceresian compromise that preserves employment and social stability after automation made human labor economically optional in many sectors.

Founding Crisis

The Blue Revolution and attacks on datacenters forced the Compromise of 1635, which restricted advanced AI use and created the Transitional Labor Directive. The Labor Compilation of 1642 then founded the CLA as the permanent corporation responsible for assigning eligible citizens to work.

Interstellar Role

The CLA became central to colonization by employing citizens selected for cryogenic migration, loaning them to the Ceresian Colonial Authority, and subcontracting labor to Kohlian Industries Consolidated.
