Rietan Civil War
The Rietan Civil War was the post-Great War struggle in which royal forces reconsolidated Rietania after territorial loss, warlord fragmentation, and rebellion.
The Rietan Civil War followed the catastrophic territorial and demographic losses of the Great War. Regional warlords, separatists, and rebel administrations carved the country apart while the imperial government contracted around emergency royal authority.
Narcissean Restoration
King Jonathan Narcissus XVI and Crown Prince Edward Narcissus XLII organized the Royal Army and rapidly reconquered breakaway regions. Edward's postwar military reforms reduced the unsustainable navy and reorganized the armed forces around speed, mobility, and battlefield coordination.
Political Consequences
The war created the public conditions that allowed the Thumbrian Party to present developmental authoritarianism and territorial recovery as the route out of national humiliation.
