Prince Edward Narcissus XLII was the Rietanian crown prince, Royal Army commander, and later king whose reforms shaped the post-civil-war state.

Prince Edward Narcissus XLII commanded the Royal Army during the Rietan Civil War and became the symbol of impossible battlefield recovery. After the Dansk plot killed his father, Edward used a short dictatorship to purge conspirators, then reduced royal civil power while retaining command of the military.
