Daiyo Empire

The Daiyo Empire was the imperial state that restored Hyun political identity after the destruction and sacrificial exploitation imposed by the Ran Empire. Its ruling house emerged from the consolidation of the Yo and Dai lines, transforming former vassal administrators into claimants of the Hyun mandate.

Founding

The Daiyo state began as a rebellion against Ran authority. Peasant mobilization, covert elite collaboration, Ceresian support, and the fragility of Ran logistics allowed the first Daiyo campaigns to sever Ran control over the Hyuna River super valley.

Identity and Expansion

The empire defined itself as the historical opposite of the Ran. Its conquests incorporated non-Hyuna peoples who had also been oppressed by the Ran, then Hyunized their ruling classes through language, marriage, administration, and centralized trade.

Later History

The Daiyo order eventually became decadent and fell within the Ceresian sphere before being conquered by the Rietan Imperial Republic. Daiyo restorationists later appeared as a major force within the Ceresian War of Liberation.
