War and Reconstruction

The VSU survived a five-year Northern League invasion through the loyalty of the mostly professional Volynian military. Subsequent defeat by the Federation of States produced a military government, factional crisis, and the Grand Debate that dissolved Volkygodia into the Roscovian Communist Republic.
