Moel1

Moel1 was a compact wormhole generator prototype developed by Nieuwerk F.G.. Its importance lay not in replacing large strategic generator vessels, but in demonstrating that small displacement corridors could be opened with much lower Element 0 requirements.

Civilian Significance

Moel1-class systems allowed peripheral star systems to connect without relying entirely on the congested Interstellar Interchange. This made the prototype strategically valuable even before it matured into KIC-compatible variants.
